Sureserve Partners with the Association of Apprentices
Supporting the Next Generation of Engineers
Coinciding with National Apprenticeship Week (10-16 February), Sureserve, one of the UK’s leading energy services and compliance providers to the social housing sector, has announced a new partnership with the Association of Apprentices (AoA) to support the development of the next generation of engineers.
The partnership comes as Sureserve welcomed sixty apprentices in the past 12 months, joining dozens who have progressed into senior and management roles, and compliments the significant apprenticeship opportunities at the Group.
Further demonstrating Sureserve's commitment to social responsibility, the Group will take a seat on the AoA's Advisory Panel, contributing to the organisation's activities alongside other key industry players.
This partnership aims to draw attention to the opportunities for career development and address the growing skills gap in the renewable energy sector, which is facing a green skills gap of approximately 200,000 workers, according to a report by PwC.
Commenting on the partnership, Graham Levinsohn, CEO at Sureserve, said,
“This partnership underscores Sureserve's commitment to investing in the future of the industry as we seek to address the critical skills gap. As part of the UK’s drive to Net Zero, there will be a continuous and growing demand for skilled engineers in the energy and compliance sector, and apprenticeships like ours at Sureserve are essential to bridge this gap.
“By providing hands-on experience and comprehensive training, apprenticeships provide huge opportunities to equip those looking to enter the sector with the practical skills and knowledge needed, and we are very proud to work with the AoA in supporting these career paths.”

Emma Nicklin, Chief Commercial Director at Sureserve, said,
“At Sureserve, we are committed to providing renewable energy solutions to create healthy homes and alleviate fuel poverty, and this partnership is an extension of our work in this area.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Association of Apprentices and this collaboration aligns perfectly with our commitment to developing a highly skilled workforce. By supporting apprentices, we are not only investing in the future of Sureserve, but also in the individuals who will shape the future of the energy and compliance sector.”
The Association of Apprentices (AoA) is a non-profit organisation committed to maximising the potential of UK apprentices by providing comprehensive support including fostering peer-to-peer support, offering development opportunities and events, facilitating networking and training, and prioritising mental health support.
Emily Rock, CEO of the Association of Apprentices, said,
“'AoA is pleased to welcome Sureserve Group as a partner and to have Graham Levinsohn join our Advisory Panel. Sureserve is committed to maintaining standards and training in the energy and compliance sector and creating high quality experiences for apprentices to progress, which sits at the heart of AoA’s mission. I’m looking forward to working with Graham to shape solutions that truly meet the needs of apprentices in this rapidly growing and exciting sector.'
The partnership with AoA follows a successful year to date for Sureserve Group, which has grown to become a leader in renewable energy solutions and compliance providing energy storage, air source heat pumps, solar and thermal products to a number of leading Housing Associations and Local Authorities including L&Q Group, Aberdeenshire Council and Thurrock Council.
In 2024, it completed 75,000 fabric measure installations, and installed over 3500 air source heat pumps, making it the UK’s largest installer. Over 3300 solar PV installs were also completed, with nearly 2000 combined with battery storage, providing a long-lasting energy transformation to homes.
