What is net zero carbon or decarbonisation?
What does decarbonisation mean for the housing sector?
The UK is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050, a legally binding target that requires significant reductions in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions across all sectors, including buildings, transport, agriculture, and industry. The goal is to reduce emissions by 100% compared to 1990 levels, with crucial intermediary targets of a 68% reduction by 2030 and a 78% reduction by 2035.
